Paramount Skydance Plans to Remove Around 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount plans to start significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are likely, with the company planning to disclose full details during its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates suggested that Paramount planned to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.

By December 2024, Paramount had about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 contract workers.

The company has not yet commented to a request for comment.
